Guides is for girls aged 10 - 15 years
we all need to be nice to each other, listen to each others thoughts and ideas and make sure everyone is happy.
It is important that everyone arrives at Guides on time. If you can't attend Guides let a Leader or Patrol Leader know.
We need to get along with the rest of our Patrol and try to understand other peoples point of view
At meetings we wear Guide tops and neckerchiefs, for special events we dress smartly, outdoors we dress sensibly.
Fun and Adventure
Guides should always be fun, we should try lots of different things and have an adventure each term.
We ALL need to do our share of any clearing away. Patrols must put their own equipment away and take turns to do other jobs.
1. A Guide is honest, reliable and can be trusted.
2. A Guide is helpful and uses her time and abilities wisely.
3. A Guide faces challenge and learns from her experiences.
4. A Guide is a good friend and a sister to all Guides.
5 .A Guide is polite and considerate.
6. A Guide respects all living things and takes care of the
world around her.
We are an active Guide Unit of between 24 - 30 Guides. We have two warranted Leaders with lots of Guiding experience.
Take a look at the Diary page to see what we do each week. Every year we go on camps and adventures - information about these is on the Camps page and the Photos page will show you what a good time we have.
We have our own guidelines and all agree to follow them.
I promise that I will do my best:
To be true to myself
and develop my beliefs,
To serve the Queen and my community,
To help other people
To keep the Guide Law.
Guides have a uniform but it's not like school uniform - it's practical and comfortable . Having 'Guide Wear' makes us all feel like we belong and we are all equal. Find out more…
We have a membership fee that we call 'Subs' and this helps us to pay for our weekly activities, rent, insurance and membership of Girlguiding. Find out about Subs and other stuff that parents need to know…
We currently have some vacancies. Please speak to your Brownie Leader, follow the 'join us' link below if you are not currently in Girlguiding or email Vicky via this website from the 'contact us' page. Thanks.
